The costs that are fixed are those that are paid towards the Greek state and refer to the costs of issuing visas and residence permits. The current price of fixed costs is €200 per worker.
Bringing in Asian workers involves a complex process that includes legal procedures and mandatory requirements. It usually takes between 4 to 6 months from the signing of the contract to the arrival of the workers. Our Experience has shown us that sometimes this process can be extended to more than 6 months, it all depends on the time it takes to issue visas for workers to come to Greece. From our part, we streamline the process to get your new hires on board as soon as possible.
We handle all the bureaucracy-related parts for you, but we also need your help as employers with:
Recruitment – after we finished the selection of workers for you, you as the employer make the final decision based on recorded or direct interviews with your potential workers from Asia.
We need your help with contracts and power of attorney for submitting applications for work visas and residence permits.
Together with you, we also solve some logistical matters such as accommodation and food.
We generally recruit workers who have at least 2 years of international experience, are familiar with the international context (multiple nationalities, language, culture, other food). In general, South Asian workers (and Filipinos, in particular) are serious, they integrate quickly, they show loyalty, respect and responsibility.
We carefully select Asian workers with relevant industry experience. We ensure that candidates are informed about the specific activities they will be undertaking in Greece, including work schedules and other necessary aspects. When we are unable to directly verify their information, we conduct interviews and tests, which can be done online. This thorough screening process minimizes the risk of recruiting staff who may not meet expectations.
Process of the arrival of workers is:
Signing a contract with our agency, which starts the process of selection of workers.
Selection of workers that match the needs of your company.
Signing the employment contract.
Obtaining visas and work permits.
Bringing in workers.
There are no tax benefits for employers who hire workers from Asia.
The health and safety at work of workers from Asia is your responsibility as an employer, same as is the case with employees of Greek nationality.
As an employer, you should also pay special attention to discrimination, which is punishable by law, especially because your new employee isn’t a citizen of Greece.
The salary can’t be lower than one prescribed by the Labor Law of the Hellenic Republic, or lower than the salary determined by the collective agreement for a certain business sector.
Working hours and allowed break time are determined by the Labor Law of the Hellenic Republic or the collective agreement, and they apply to all employees employed by the company.
Any act that is contrary to the law should be reported to the police and sanctioned in accordance with the law.
By law, the employer does not have the right to keep the employees’ personal documents.
Our company’s agents make sure that they welcome Asian workers at the airport. We are also in charge of providing them transportation from the airport to the accommodation.
Our experience has shown that workers who come to Greece are willing to pay for a plane ticket by themselves, if they have a slightly higher salary.
If the workers come to work for the minimum wage, then the plane ticket is usually bought by the company for which the workers will work.
